Following our recent restructure, we are excited to announce that we are seeking 4 experienced Senior Nurses or Allied Health Care Professionals to join our Senior Leadership team.

Rated by the CQC as outstanding for caring, you will work as an integral part of the senior care group leadership team, and you will lead a large group of professionals creating cultures where colleagues are able to speak up and learn.  

Main duties of the job

(Post 1) Lead Nurse/ Lead of Professions – Surgery and Critical Care Group:

  • Wycombe hospital based at our Wycombe elective Surgical Centre (WESC)
  • Core portfolios include Theatres & all elective pathways
  • Site co-ordination supporting the Head of Operations /Head of Planned Care

(Post 2) Lead Nurse/ Lead of Professions – Surgery and Critical Care Group:

  • Stoke hospital based
  • Core portfolios include all emergency pathways
  • Site co-ordination with the Head of Operations / Head of Planned Care

(Post 3) Lead Nurse/ Lead of professions – Community and Rehabilitation Care Group; National Spinal Injuries Centre:

  • Based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
  • Core portfolio includes all patient pathways for adult and paediatric patients with spinal cord injury (SCI).
  • Services also provide outpatient and Outreach services across the South East of England.
  • Site co-ordination with the Heads of Service
  • Key relationship with NHSE for SCI.

(Post 4) Lead Nurse/ Lead of professions – Integrated Medicine Care Group:

  • Based across 3 hospital sites.
  • Core portfolio includes Emergency Department, Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC) and the Acute Medical wards.
  • Services also provide Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, Rheumatology, Respiratory, Dermatology, Endocrinology and Diabetes and Cardiovascular (Cardiology & Stroke) medicine, which include the in-patient wards, community services.
  • Site co-ordination with the Heads of Service

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS& TRAINING

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse/AHP
  • Relevant Degree or recordable qualification
  • Relevant Master’s degree or Equivalent
  • Evidence of recent on-going development
Desirable criteria
  • Leadership qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience at Senior Nurse level or equivalent
  • Proven experience in development and implementation of corporate and professional strategies
  • Proven experience in the implementation and monitoring of quality measurement and improvement tools
  • Demonstrable experience of improving patient experience in a range of settings
  • Demonstrable experience of improving patient safety at service or organisational level
  • Experience of chairing meetings and managing diverse attendance and contributions

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
