Trauma & Orthopaedic Consultant with specialist interest in Hip and Knee Surgery

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Hip and Knee surgery and to take part in the trauma rota.

The successful applicant will be one of 17 consultants and a part-time consultant. Responsibilities include general trauma duties one week in 6 with an average 1:12 on-call. There will be a dedicated week of trauma duties, free from elective commitments.

There are currently four substantive Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Arthroplasty surgeons and one Knee specific surgeon who deal with both the Elective and Emergency Primary and Revision Arthroplasty cases within the unit. The unit is supported by a full complement of junior medical and ancillary support staff. Outpatient clinics are held at Stoke Mandeville and at Wycombe hospitals. There is excellent musculoskeletal radiology support with 24 hour MRI scanning.

We plan to hold the AAC Interviews on Monday 4 November 2019.
