We are pleased that we are able advertise an exciting Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapy role within our Early Years Complex Needs Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Speech/Language Therapist who is passionate about working with preschool children with complex needs. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team of therapists and therapy assistants, delivering high quality SLT services to children on the Early Years Complex Needs caseload across a range of settings.
CYP Therapies have a strong commitment to CPD and regular clinical supervision. Access to specialist training is available via internal and external courses, as well as mentoring, clinical supervision, attendance at regional and national CEN meetings etc.

As part of the Early Years Complex Needs Team, you will join an innovative group of therapists and therapy assistants, delivering high-quality Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to children with complex needs in their early years. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other health and education professionals to deliver assessment and intervention to complex preschool children at a highly specialist level. Management of complex feeding difficulties across of range of settings will also be required.

- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
- Health Professions Council License to Practice
- Formal post graduate training/qualification in dysphagia
- • Evidence of successful completion of significant specialist post graduate training

- Evidence of training as clinical supervisor
- Registered Member of Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
- Membership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks (CENs)
EXPERIENCE

- Evidence of a minimum of four years in depth experience in specialist clinical area of early years complex needs
- Evidence of a minimum 2-3 years specialist experience within paediatric dysphagia
- Experience of implementing a range of AAC systems

- Experience of carrying out assessments and therapy within a multi-disciplinary context
- Evidence of experience in delivering training to parents and other professionals
- Evidence of experience in independently managing paediatric dysphagia cases in children under the age of 12 months (incl pre-term babies)
