Sound Education background GCSE or equivalent
NVQ 2 pharmacy services or equivalent

Experience

Previous experience of working in a hospital aseptic unit or licensed sterile manufacturing facility

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Ability to work to Standard Operating Procedures accurately and in a timely fashion
Manual dexterity in order to draw up accurate volumes using syringes & needles
Ability to work in confined places such as a pharmaceutical isolator
Accuracy/attention to detail
To have a positive attitude and the ability to recognise and embrace new ideas
Ability to work and communicate well within a team
Ability to recognise limits of own competencies and to refer and seek advice from colleagues
Ability to work in an organised and calm fashion in a busy environment
To be courteous with all customers, both internal and external, including members of the public and other healthcare professionals
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner (verbal and written)
Keeping accurate and legible records
To have basic keyboard/computer skills

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
