Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full time permanent contract unless you have:

Essential criteria

BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
Masters level qualification in Chest and Abdomen image interpretation
HCPC Registration

Desirable criteria

Evidence of further relevant study

Experience

Essential criteria

Extensive experience in Chest and Abdomen reporting
Leadership experience
Extensive experience in NHS plain film imaging departments since qualification
Experience of PACS/Radiology systems
Commitment to CPD

Knowledge

Expert Knowledge of anatomy and pathology associated with Chest and Abdomen reporting
Knowledge of the National Optimal Lung Cancer Pathway (NOLCP)
Sound knowledge of governance processes related to reporting
Open to the acquisition of new skills and knowledge
Good understanding and working knowledge of PACS and Radiology Systems
Have a sound understanding of general X-ray anatomy, physics and safety
Understanding of QSI

When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
