Applicants are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+)/Senior in ENT (Head & Neck) at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The duties of this post include management of Benign and Malignant Head and Neck Pathology under the supervision of four surgeons. Cambridge University Hospitals is a regional and tertiary referral centre and runs a busy Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Unit. All aspects of Head and Neck surgery are performed in the Unit and there is close collaboration with the Neurosurgical team for the management of craniofacial pathology. 

In order to be considered applicants must be senior trainees, either Post CCT or in the final years of training. Applicants will be expected to have had basic training in Head & Neck Surgery. Other essential criteria include FRCS (ORL) or equivalent and evidence of participation in research.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of appointment is required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This fellowship will provide specialist training in all facets of Head and Neck surgery, including thyroid and parathyroid surgery and exposure to TORS. The Unit runs an active research programme and the Fellow will be invited to participate in this. The Fellow will be expected to take part in the Middle Grade on-call rota. 

Candidates applying from overseas should have equivalent experience in ENT and hold an exit ENT qualification.
