Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Higher ST6+/Senior) in Gynaecological Oncology to commence latest by 28 September 2026 until 27 September 2027
Main duties of the job
The post is that of a Senior Registrar level doctor, to work with the Gynaecological Oncology team for the entire duration of the post.
The post holder would be expected to support the theatre and outpatient duties, in addition to the multidisciplinary team service and all Inpatients under the care of the team.
In order to be considered applicants must meet the following essential criteria: completed basic training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology up to ST5 level or above.
Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition. However, it is an excellent opportunity to gain substantial out of program experience in gynaecological surgery, oncology and peri-operative care.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

Essential criteria
- Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application
- BLS Course
- Completion of Foundation Competencies
- Logbook indicating validated experience of appropriate range and number of clinical procedures
- Completed a minimum of four to six months experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- MRCOG part 2
- RCOG ATSM / SITM which includes a surgical component

The post holder would be expected to take part in audits and attend regular M&M meetings, as well as taking responsibility to collate and present Risk and Governance Data, and support the administrative running of the gynae-oncology resident and surgical team calendar.
The post holder would work as a part of a team of 7 Consultants, one sub-specialty Trainee, Senior and Junior Registrars as well our team of Clinical Nurse specialists and Surgical Care Practioner.
