Join us as a Practice Educator Facilitator and play a pivotal role in driving excellence across the Midlands and East 5 (ME-5) Pathology Network.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Biomedical or Clinical Scientist to lead on inclusive, accessible, and sustainable training and education projects within the ME-5 Pathology Network. Working collaboratively across multiple Trusts, you’ll design and implement initiatives that support professional development, standardise training resources, and enhance career pathways for the scientific workforce.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will design, develop, and evaluate inclusive and accessible training programmes and resources that meet the needs of the pathology workforce. You will lead projects that create career roadmaps, CPD programmes, and learning platforms, ensuring they align with professional standards and accreditation requirements. Collaboration is key—you will work closely with laboratory managers, training leads, and professional bodies to standardise opportunities and share best practice across the network. You will also deliver training sessions and support staff in using resources effectively. Maintaining quality standards, monitoring progress, and reporting outcomes will be integral to your work, alongside promoting innovation, sustainability, and equality within all aspects of training and education.

Lead Training Projects: Design, develop, evaluate education programmes and resources for pathology staff.

Create Learning Pathways: Develop accessible career roadmaps and CPD programmes aligned with workforce needs.

Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with laboratory managers, training leads, and professional bodies to ensure standardisation and best practice.

Deliver Training: Organise and present sessions for individuals and groups across the network.

Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with ISO 15189:2022 and professional guidelines.

Promote Innovation: Utilise digital platforms to create inclusive learning resources and support sustainability initiatives.
