An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced specialist rheumatology nurse to apply for an acting up opportunity within the Rheumatology team within Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will oversee the day to day coordination of care, with oversight of the Rheumatology clinical nurse specialist team. The role requires an individual who is capable of leading, inspiring, and developing the specialist nurse workforce to continuously deliver a high standard of professional practice and care.
You will be someone who will have in-depth knowledge across a range of Rheumatic conditions, be able to effectively and efficiently manage the complex specialised rheumatology patients and be able to ensure that patients, their families and those working in the Rheumatology department are fully supported.
Main duties of the job
Manage and lead a specialist service with responsibility for ensuring high quality, cost-effective healthcare or Manage and lead a workforce of specialist nurses (i.e. across a Division)
Responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills.
Be involved in the strategic review of clinical services as appropriate
Be responsible for implementing a clearly defined integrated approach to patient care encompassing new treatments and evidence based care

- RGN with a degree
- Post registration module in Specialist field of work

- Teaching & mentoring qualification
