Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Plastic Surgery.

We have two posts available to commence asap until 04 August 2026.

Main duties of the job

You will join our team of 19 Consultant Plastic Surgeons, four with a specialist interest in Breast Reconstruction, four with a specialist interest in Head and Neck reconstruction (including surgery for facial palsy) and three upper limb and three lower limb reconstruction consultants.

You will have the opportunity to be involved with a large number of microsurgical procedures carried out by the department and will take on greater levels of responsibility as the post progresses. We are a Major Trauma Centre covering the East of England and you will have the opportunity to manage complex Limb reconstructions.

Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

You will be expected to support the Plastic Surgery service and contribute to departmental activity including the training of junior staff and allied health professionals, research, and clinical audit. You will be given an excellent opportunity to further your skills and potentially become a leader in the field of microsurgical reconstruction.
