With a strong commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous innovation, we’re seeking talented professionals with subspecialist interests in Chest, Breast, Urology, MSK, or Nuclear Medicine.

As a Consultant Radiologist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-standard radiology services across our three acute sites—Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital, and Stamford & Rutland Hospitals—while extending your expertise to our community hospitals.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice (or eligibility within 6 months).
  • UK-trained applicants: Must have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within 6 months of award at the date of interview.
  • Non-UK-trained applicants: Must demonstrate CCT equivalence.
  • Subspecialist interest in Chest, Breast, Urology, MSK, or Nuclear Medicine is essential.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, patient care, and innovation.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver subspecialty radiology services in alignment with departmental needs, driving service improvement.
  • Provide leadership and clinical expertise across general radiology, working closely with your colleagues in a collaborative environment.
  • Actively contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain your subspecialty interest, enhancing our department’s offering to meet patient and service requirements.
  • Lead and contribute to audit projects and protocol development, ensuring best practices are followed.
