Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager in the Head and Neck CBU managing ENT, Plastic surgery and Dermatology to support the new structure in the CBU and drive recovery of our services and transformation of pathways.

This is a pivotal role which involves close working with the clinical teams to develop services and improve patient experience.

Main duties of the job

Taking charge of operational management, this role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of responsive, innovative, and high-quality services within the Head & Neck Clinical Business Unit (CBU). Collaborating closely with the Divisional Operational Manager (DOM), the incumbent will oversee the coordination and management of budgets, aligning with agreed national and local performance objectives and contracts. The responsibilities extend to managing service delivery across Peterborough City Hospital, Stamford Hospital, and Hinchingbrooke Hospital sites, with a commitment to routinely working across all locations.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the CBU triumvirate management team (DOM, Matron, and Associate Divisional Director - ADD), Clinical Leads, Business Development Manager (BDM), senior nursing teams, and medical staff to contribute to business planning and enhance ongoing improvements in patient care processes.

Working in close coordination with corporate directorates such as Human Resources, Finance, and Clinical and Corporate Governance, the Service Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a seamless integration of various functions.
