Job overview
Are you passionate about Women's Health?
The Early Pregnancy/Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit (EGAU/EPAU) have an exciting opportunity for an experienced gynaecology nurse to cover maternity leave. The post holder will be required to cover a 7 day a week flexible shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays.
Your base will be within the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit at Peterborough City Hospital, but all staff are asked to support services in other departments and at other Trust sites as needed.
Main duties of the job
We are a friendly team of nurses, HCAs, sonographers, consultants/doctors, administrative staff and counsellors , providing a high standard of individualised patient care.
We are looking for a dynamic and caring Registered General Nurse who is a great communicator, non-judgemental, passionate about women's health and can work using their own initiative.
The termination of pregnancy service runs from this area, so staff should be pro-choice.
It would also be preferable that you have previous experience working in gynaecology and/ or pre-assessment.
Working for our organisation
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust’s redeployment process.
