An exciting opportunity had arisen for an Associate Practitioner to join the Public Health Wales Microbiology Service, based in Bangor. 

Applications are invited from individuals who are enthusiastic, well motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities. Candidates should possess well developed interpersonal skills and an ability to support individual and team working.    

The successful candidates for this position will undertake aspects of diagnostic laboratory work whilst supporting Biomedical Scientists. The post holder will be expected to participate in shift working, weekends and bank holidays.

We offer a varied, challenging and rewarding work environment, with the opportunity to be at the forefront of Microbiology in Wales.  

The laboratory is based in North West Wales at Ysbyty Gwynedd with good rail and road links and easy access to Angelsey and the Menai Straits.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
