Job overview

This Fellowship is aimed at senior (ST5+) trainees wishing to seek experience in critical care and toxicology/national poisons information service. The post is for 6 months  and can be adapted to support the Fellow in developing their specific area of interest.

 

 

Main duties of the job

This post would also offer consolidation of clinical skills and experience in general adult ICM, exposure to renal replacement techniques, advanced cardiovascular monitoring and support, percutaneous tracheostomy, non-invasive ventilation and advanced invasive ventilation modes including APRV. 

Clinical work would also involve research for the national poisons information service, a local toxicology in-reach service and participation in the local NPIS rota.

The successful applicant is expected to participate in on-calls on the senior trainee rota and the NPIS rota.

The post is based at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
