Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (the UHB) is a Smoke Free Health Board. Smoking is banned across all of the UHB sites. Staff are therefore not able to smoke in the hospital grounds or on any other UHB premises.

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board have an excellent opportunity to join West 1 in the University Hospital of Llandough, this ward specialises in the care of patients with acute and chronic gastroenterology conditions including varices, liver disease and liver cancer, patients with eating disorders, a range of infectious diseases and cystic fibrosis as well as general medical conditions.

As well as a dynamic, friendly working environment we offer a full induction programme and an individual personal development plan to guide your development within your new role. We have an educational pathway to support ongoing educational development to enable all staff to maximise their potential in providing safe and effective care while supporting staff in academic learning. We are based in Cardiff and the surrounding area, we operate in the thriving capital City of Wales, which is the fastest growing city outside London. Cardiff offers fabulous shopping outlets and a vibrant nightlife scene with leading music and entertainment events. Wales offers the beautiful scenery of National Parks and the coastlines with plenty of outdoor experiences and activities. The Principality Stadium is host to many international sporting and live music events. We also have excellent transport links due to our proximity to the M4. 

 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
