An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Procurement Business Manager to join the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) - Procurement Services' Integrated Frontline Procurement Team for Hywel Dda University Health Board based at Johnstown, Carmarthen.

Main duties of the job

NWSSP Procurement Service is an established Procurement service assisting Health Boards and NHS Trusts across Wales to deliver patient centred services.  We are an award winning service focusing on value, safety, excellence, innovation and quality. As a procurement service we have an obligation to provide stakeholders and customers with the best quality service.

This role will be based in the NWSSP Integrated Procurement Dept at Hywel Dda University Health Board based at Johnstown in Carmarthen, the role will manage a variety of categories within the Non Medical Procurement Team such as Estates Construction Projects, Estates Professional Services, Catering, Facilities, Corporate Affairs, Finance and Transport.

Essential criteria
  • Qualified to CIPS Level 5
Desirable criteria
  • ILM4 or other Management qualification

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Proven experience of delivering complex Procurement Projects and tendering
  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience of people / staff supervision / management – preferably management experience within a procurement or supply environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of category management and developing team work plans

  • Proficient in the use of IT and MS Office
