Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate professional to join NWSSP as a Project Manager supporting the Transforming Access to Medicines (TRaMs) programme.
The post will play a key role in the continued effective delivery of the NHS Wales Transforming Access to Medicines programme, working within a well-established programme team predominantly supporting the development of the North Wales Hub.
Located within the Transformation Management Office, the Project Manager will be integral in the continued success of NWSSP.
The individual must have excellent organisation and engagement skills to support key stakeholders to deliver transformational change, with impacts across NHS Wales.
The role will require work at all levels across NWSSP, Health Boards, Trusts and Welsh Government. An understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship NWSSP has with Health Boards and Trusts would be advantageous but is not essential.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will lead on relevant projects within the Transforming Access to Medicines (TRaMs) programme, reviewing complex data, communicating data and accurately analysing, interpreting and present information to inform all aspects of work.
The post will also seek to support and embed Transformation Management Office best practice across the programme and wider organisation, working closely with stakeholders from all services within NWSSP, NHS Wales and Welsh Government. The post holder must possess excellent project management, communication, stakeholder management skills, which will help ensure processes, and methodologies are applied across the programme and wider boundaries in support of the Transforming Access to Medicines (TRaMs) programme.
In addition, the post holder must also be determined and passionate project and programme advocate focused on delivering projects and programmes to the highest standard, following already in use good practice and clearly focused on benefit realisation and successful business change. Qualification &/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters Degree level / equivalent level of work experience and knowledge.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, similar qualification or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge
- Evidence of Continual Professional Development
- Evidence of formal training in Improvement methodologies e.g., ISO standards &quality improvement methodologies, Lean A3 or Six Sigma Greenbelt.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the current strategic direction of NHS Wales specifically Prudent Healthcare and the Value based agenda.
- Accreditation in Quality Improvement, IQT or Lean
- Agile Project and/or Programme Management Accreditation.
Experience

- Experienced in successfully managing the full life cycle of projects
- Significant experience of using and implementing service improvement, business improvement methods
