PHW’s Social Marketing team are looking for an analyst experienced in working with marketing data from several sources to help optimise and drive behaviourally informed health and wellbeing campaigns.
This post will play an important part in analysing data and insights from sources including Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite to help shape a series of high-profile marketing campaigns.

Main duties of the job
You will contribute to the implementation and evaluation of integrated national social marketing campaigns, designed to promote healthy behaviours amongst the Welsh public.
The role is an exciting opportunity to be an active contributor within an important topic area to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of population groups across Wales.
You will be a performance marketing, advertising or data analyst professional with an eye for detail and experience of analysing marketing data to support marketing campaigns. You will have experience of working across a range of bilingual digital channels and creating reports based on activity.
You will also be encouraged to input into how we can make our Welsh Language offer more compelling and culturally relevant to Welsh audiences. Whilst promoting the Welsh Language and growing the Welsh identity of our health improvement brands, and one of a kind offers.
You will work closely with our internal and external stakeholders such as the Public Health Wales Communications Team, Welsh Government, Local Public Health Teams, Health Boards, the third sector and of course, the public.
Public Health Wales’ Health Improvement Division has a strong focus on evidence-based practice, research and evaluation as well as the application of behavioural science.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To undertake a comprehensive facilitative and co-ordination role to enable the effective delivery of a range of social marketing projects within an integrated programme of social marketing for health improvement implementing key elements of national policy and programmes.
The post-holder will form the first point of contact for local and national partner organisations and internal stakeholders involved in the delivery of social marketing programmes. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining communication mechanisms within the wider programme of work, organising events, maintaining and developing digital content and responding to queries.
The post holder will also organise engagement activity with the public and key stakeholders for gathering insight research and co-producing elements of the social marketing approach.
The post holder will originate, coordinate and monitor social marketing activity for health improvement from multiple stakeholders including internal and external statutory, public, commercial and third sector.
The post-holder will work closely with other teams within the Health Improvement Division; Communications Team and other Divisions within Public Health Wales as well as partners from across the public sector.

Essential criteria
- • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject or have equivalent experience.
- • Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria
- • Evidence of industry recognised qualification (CIM/CIPR)
Experience

- • Significant experience of preparing and publishing engaging communication or marketing content for a project or programme across a broad range of channels and platforms
- • Experience of using Analytical Tools or Software
