You will also assist the Deputy Head of Radiology in ensuring that robust guidelines and protocols are established and maintained, enabling the consistent delivery of recognised best practice across the Health Board.

The position requires you to provide professional leadership for the clinical development of radiographic staff and work collaboratively with Lead Superintendents across other sites to contribute to the development of Directorate and Health Board policies and procedures. In addition, you will ensure that an effective quality assurance programme is in place in accordance with the Ionising Radiation Regulations (2017), and you will act as Radiation Protection Supervisor to support compliance with both the Ionising Radiation Regulations (2017) and the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (2017).
