Job overview
This is a fixed term/secondment post until 01/09/2027 due to funding.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with an interest in healthcare science to support our Pharmacy team in the day to day running of the Pharmacy Department at Bronglais General Hospital.
The Pharmacy team is forward thinking and continually strives to improve the delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and optimise the use of medicines within the Health Board.
This is a fixed term post, 37.5 hours per week. You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and you will need to be able to work effectively with the existing team within the pharmacy department.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within a team of Senior Technical Officers, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in providing a wide range of Pharmaceutical Services within the hospital setting. You will be given specific training to help develop your skills.
Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C or above. To hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in pharmacy, community or hospital is desirable but not essential, as full support and supervision will be provided to complete the NVQ Level 2 qualification in pharmacy services.
This post offers an exciting and unique opportunity for a pharmacy assistant to have a varied role. You will be helping to deliver a high quality pharmacy service to our patients by working within the dispensary, stores and distribution and ward based medicines management services.
You will be offered a variety of experience and training within each area.
Previous experience of working in a pharmacy is desirable and you will be required to have or be eligible to work towards an NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Services.
The successful candidate will be involved in working on a weekend and Bank Holiday Rota.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
