Job overview
The Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) Administrator will work independently to provide a comprehensive, professional, and confidential administrative and secretarial service to support the effective day-to-day running for the Fracture Liaison Service.
Acting as a first point of contact, you will manage and respond to enquiries from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders via telephone, email, and face-to-face communication, using initiative and judgement to resolve routine matters and escalate more complex issues appropriately.
The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise workload, and a proactive approach to ensure deadlines and service requirements are consistently met, with potential responsibility for supervising staff and supporting team development.
Main duties of the job
You will undertake a broad range of administrative duties including managing correspondence, maintaining accurate filing systems and databases, arranging appointments and meetings, preparing and distributing documentation, and supporting audits and reporting requirements.
You will also carry out general office tasks such as typing, scanning, photocopying, and ordering supplies, while ensuring effective use of IT systems and maintaining data confidentiality. In addition, you will provide a high standard of customer service by welcoming visitors, handling enquiries, and communicating effectively with patients, staff, and partner organisations, including managing sensitive or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism.
This role also involves working to prioritise tasks, responding to urgent requests, contributing to team discussions and service improvements, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and, where required delivering basic training on departmental systems.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.

- Level 3 qualification (e.g. A levels, AS Levels, NVQ3) or equivalent demonstrable experience of administrative / office skills and knowledge
