We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology, Respiratory & Vascular Department as part of our dedicated administrative team.
The post-holder act as the CRV Admin Team Leader, leading and directing the department and dealing with all correspondence and associated administrative duties. The post holder will support the assistant service manager in leading and directing a team of admin/support admin staff. A polite, friendly manner with dealing with patients/relatives and visitors/staff to the departments either face to face or over the telephone is essential. The list below is to outline the main duties involved; however this is subject to change and will vary within the given role. Main duties of the job
The post holder acts as the Cardio Respiratory Vascular (CRV) Administrative Team Leader, providing comprehensive administrative leadership and support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service. The role involves managing and supervising the administrative team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and ensuring adequate cover at all times.
The post holder is responsible for managing clinic and investigation diaries, coordinating appointments, monitoring and maintaining waiting lists, and maximising capacity to prevent breaches in line with Trust policies. They act as a key point of contact for patients, relatives, consultants, GPs, and other departments, dealing with enquiries, complaints, and urgent requests in a professional and compassionate manner.
The role also includes maintaining accurate patient records across hospital systems, producing reports and audit data, implementing new administrative procedures and systems, and ensuring compliance with information governance, confidentiality, infection control, and safeguarding requirements, while working closely with the Assistant Service Manager and multidisciplinary teams to support safe, effective, and timely patient care.

• The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 473 general and acute beds.
• Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
• Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust employs 5,964 staff (headcount) to provide care and treatment to a population of over 400,000 people living in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire.
The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System. Due to its location on the border with North Wales, the Trust also works closely with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
