The Blood Sciences Department at the Countess of Chester has an exciting new vacancy for a Biomedical Support Worker. This is a part time fixed term role for 24 months, with a focus on providing essential administrative support to the department, alongside the duties listed in the Job Description.
Main duties of the job
In summary, the main duties of the role entail:
- Receiving and preparing a variety of samples for analytical testing
- Entry of patient results and data into the hospital EPR system
- Receiving and processing External Quality Assessment samples across the Blood Sciences department
- Responding to queries via telephone and email
- Stock management duties including receiving orders and stock rotation
- Assisting with outstanding requests
