**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**

Come and join our well established and developed Community Mental Health Team as our Advanced Nurse Practitioner. You will be joining a multidisciplinary team including but not limited to; clinical leads, senior nurses, consultant psychiatrists, AHP's and many other specialist professionals. 

The role will predominantly serve Crewe and its surrounding suburbs however the role may also require travel to our other team sites. A high level of autonomy will be promoted in this role and reflection of the four pillars of Advanced practice will be supported.

You will be viewed as a highly specialist and senior individual who can provide clinical supervision to the wider MDT. There is an opportunity to become a part of a very dynamic and flexible team who are working towards delivering on Community Transformation Goals operationally. Your knowledge and experience will be utilised to support wider system changes that has the potential to influence care across several arenas.

Main duties of the job

To exercise advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in the delivery of clinical care.  Be responsible for delivering a high quality mental health service for service users and carers of the older adults mental health service.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Relevant professional qualification – RMN, Dip COT/BSc OT or recognised Social Work qualification
  • Speciality qualification – Psychological Interventions
  • Non-medical prescribing or willingness to complete within 18 months of appointment
  • MSc Advanced Practice Mental Health
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching qualification
  • Educated to Masters Level in Dementia care

Experience

Essential criteria
  • 5 years post qualification experience
  • Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/speciality
  • Significant evidence of delivering teaching programmes to staff groups
  • Evidence of presentations at local, regional, national level.

Aptitude/Leadership

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of excellent clinical record
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in highly demanding environment
  • Maintained development of clinical leadership skills
  • Undertaken a leadership programme e.g. LEO
  • Evidence of diplomacy and negotiation skills
  • Able to demonstrate imaginative and effective use of resources
  • Able to articulate personal development needs
  • Implementation of audit/research recommendations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
