Job overview

To provide a comprehensive typing and administrative support service to the ENT secretarial team. The post holder will also be required to provide cover for the Assistant PA role as necessary, effectively organising and managing their workload to ensure the delivery of an efficient, high-quality, and professional service.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive typing and administrative support service to the clinical secretarial team. This includes producing and managing all work-related correspondence, photocopying, emailing, and the effective distribution of reports and letters in accordance with service requirements.

  • Competently utilise required digital systems for correspondence management, clinic administration, and the retrieval of results, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.

  • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships both within and across Divisions, as well as with external stakeholders, to support the delivery of effective and efficient patient services.

  • Provide cover for the Assistant PA role, as required, undertaking the full range of associated duties under the supervision of senior administrative staff.

  • Take responsibility for managing your own workload, prioritising tasks appropriately, and contributing effectively as part of a team.
