We are delighted to be able to offer a permanent Deputy Quality Governance and Audit Manager position to work within the CCICP Quality Team, alongside the Quality Governance Manager. A clinical background is essential to better support the successful candidate within the role.
This post will work with and support the CCICP Head of Nursing, Divisional Quality Governance Manager, Community Operational Managers, Clinical Leads/Team leads to ensure that comprehensive Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures are carried out across the Division, where there is a review or development of organisational and service plans.
Working in support of the CCICP Head of Nursing, Divisional Quality Governance Manager, Community Operational Managers, Clinical Leads/Team leads to ensure robust review/investigation of incidents, in accordance with PSIRF and support learning to take place from such events which further develops service delivery.
The post-holder will assist the CCICP Quality Governance Manager to maintain and develop an Integrated risk model to include incidents, complaints, accidents, and learn from internal and external sources to provide guidance to the Division to reduce and control all aspects of risk and promote quality improvement culture.
Main duties of the job
To assist the CCICP Quality Governance Manager to proactively lead on the Quality Governance agenda e.g. clinical/general Risk Management, Quality Surveillance, Quality Improvement, Information Governance, Health, Safety and Security for the Division. Acting as an additional source of expertise for risk management, national standards, and quality governance issues. Further ensuring all are integrated seamlessly within everyday practice, consistent with the Trust strategy, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Assist and support the CCICP Quality Governance Manager to co-ordinate, review/investigate and produce reports e.g. patient safety incidents, serious incidents and accidents in conjunction with the Quality Governance team and statutory bodies as appropriate, ensuring robust action plans are developed and in place; and that progress is reviewed.
Support the CCICP Head of Nursing and CCICP Quality Governance Manager to ensure that lessons are learnt from incidents reporting, risk identification and review, horizon scanning, and that issues identified are promptly and positively controlled and addressed and share learning and ideas with the wider Quality Governance Team.
To assist in ensuring that the Division complies with national guidance, Risk Management Standards, Health & Safety legislation, the Organisations Risk Management Strategy and Assurance Framework and the Quality & Safety Improvement Strategy.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This post will work with and support the CCICP Head of Nursing, Divisional Quality Governance Manager, Community Operational Managers, Clinical Leads/Team leads to ensure that comprehensive Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures are carried out across the Division, where there is a review or development of organisational and service plans.
The role will require you to assist in the analysis and development of robust action plans to act on information to proactively manage and maintain National Health Service, organisational and divisional targets/trajectories.
Working in support of the CCICP Head of Nursing, Divisional Quality Governance Manager, Community Operational Managers, Clinical Leads/Team leads to ensure robust review/investigation of incidents, in accordance with PSIRF and support learning to take place from such events which further develops service delivery.
The post-holder will assist the CCICP Quality Governance Manager to maintain and develop an Integrated risk model to include incidents, complaints, accidents, and learn from internal and external sources to provide guidance to the Division to reduce and control all aspects of risk and promote quality improvement culture.
The post-holder will support the dissemination and implementation of clinical audits throughout CCICP, ensuring that clinical audit activity is effectively recorded and monitored.
The role will support work needed to ensure that the organisation meets external requirements related to clinical audit e.g. national clinical audit requirements including Liaising with national audit providers and local national audit leads to ensure that national audit requirements are met.
To assist the CCICP Quality Governance Manager to proactively lead on the Quality Governance agenda e.g. clinical/general Risk Management, Quality Surveillance, Quality Improvement, Information Governance, Health, Safety and Security for the Division. Acting as an additional source of expertise for risk management, national standards, and quality governance issues. Further ensuring all are integrated seamlessly within everyday practice, consistent with the Trust strategy, policies, procedures and guidelines.

Assist in the development and maintenance of systems and processes to establish and maintain effective communication with staff groups etc. and maintain confidentiality of information.
Assist in the development and maintenance of systems and processes to continually monitor standards, e.g. identifying risks, learning from incidents, PSIRF, benchmarking, audit, preparing and implementing action plans to improve the quality of services.
Support the CCICP Head of Nursing and CCICP Quality Governance Manager to ensure that lessons are learnt from incidents reporting, risk identification and review, horizon scanning, and that issues identified are promptly and positively controlled and addressed and share learning and ideas with the wider Quality Governance Team
Assist in the development and implementation of polices, standard operating procedures, guidelines and safe systems of work related to the maintenance and development of the quality agenda which further supports service delivery within the Division.
Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and guidelines for self and others, by taking action/alerting senior management team if practice appears to contravene policy, or if concerned about any aspect of patient care.
To assist in ensuring that the Division complies with national guidance, Risk Management Standards, Health & Safety legislation, the Organisations Risk Management Strategy and Assurance Framework and the Quality & Safety Improvement Strategy.
Act as a positive role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise, and by maintaining credibility within the Division, wider organisation and the wider local healthcare economy and ensuring a positive image of the Trust is maintained.
Deputise for the Divisional Quality Governance Manager when indicated.
The Deputy Quality Manager will be allocated both primary and secondary roles and responsibilities commensurate with the post in support of divisional and corporate Patient Safety & Quality Governance agenda.
Support the Division by the effective use of resources, e.g. premises, equipment, supplies and materials.
Assist in the development and maintenance of systems and processes to promote, monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting any concerns.
Take responsibility for own learning and development by recognising and taking advantage of all opportunities to learn, including full participation in the appraisal process, clinical supervision, action learning and by maintaining a professional/personal portfolio of learning.
In conjunction with the Divisional Quality Governance Manager, develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure that learning needs are clearly identified and met, and that all learning is planned, implemented, evaluated and shared in order to change and improve services according to changing health care needs and the organisations ten out of ten quality framework.
