Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse/Neonatal Midwife to join our Neonatal team in our friendly, level 1 unit at East Cheshire NHS Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Neonatal Nurse/Neonatal Midwife with excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for Neonatal care to join our friendly and supportive team. We strive to provide the highest quality care for the babies and families of East Cheshire, with a focus on Family Integrated Care (FIC). 

Band 6 Neonatal Nurse/Neonatal Midwives will be the shift leader of our 8 bedded unit and will have the opportunity to become involved in various Champion roles, eg/ TC, BFI, FIC. We will offer the opportunity to exercise their experience and skills and have a direct input into how the unit functions.

Hours per week: 59.25 hours to offer overall, perm and temp

Main duties of the job

The Band 6 Neonatal Nurse/Neonatal Midwife will act as a shift leader, ensuring the safe running of the ward.

An experienced and competent health care professional who supports the NNU Manager in the leadership and management of clinical excellence by making best use of the team, developing and implementing policy and guidelines, and by leading on improvements. The post holder will work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to meet the needs of neonates and their families and take an active part in line management, leadership and development of the team.
