Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service working 33 hours per week. The service is provided for all employees of Warrington & Halton Teaching Hospitals.
You will be employed by the Therapy Service at WHH and work within the Occupational Health Team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess and treat WHH staff members who are referred or who self-refer into the service with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. You will need to have extensive experience of working in a musculoskeletal environment with advanced assessment and clinical reasoning skills as you are often the initial contact for the staff member.
Communication with staff, managers and other health professionals to achieve the optimum outcomes for our staff members.
The post holder will also be involved in Health Promotion activities and there will be opportunities to undertake ergonomic workplace assessments including DSE assessments.
Take an active role in the development of and implementation of the Occupational Health Service, specifically the Therapy element of this service with the development of related policies
Referrals are also received from Managers requesting advice on fitness for work, and any adjustments required to enable staff to continue in work. You will also be actively involved in developing plans for staff, to facilitate a safe return to work.

- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Specialist formal post grad training/experience in related field

- Able to demonstrate experience as a Specialist Therapist in the management of MSK conditions
