Main duties of the job

Develop Expertise in Clinical Practice

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) 4-year degree or equivalent, plus 1 year pre-registration training and experience
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of research or audit
  • Experience of giving presentations
  • Experience of mentoring or training others
Desirable criteria
  • Foundation training year (or equivalent) in hospital pharmacy sector

skills, Knowledge & Competencies

Essential criteria
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good manipulation skills for preparing extemporaneous / aseptic products
  • Good working knowledge of standard computer software (Word, PowerPoint) & ability to develop I.T. skills
  • Knowledge of internet searching
  • Good knowledge of Pharmacy Law and Ethics
  • Good knowledge of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics
