TRUST REGISTRAR IN UROLOGY (ST3-ST7 Level)

Applicants are invited for the above post as a Fellow in Urology (Registrar level) based at the James Cook University Hospital for 6 months. The role will include flexible cystoscopies, outpatient clinics as well as on call commitments. 

Main duties of the job

The single site development has made The James Cook University Hospital one of the largest teaching hospitals in the North of England and is a Major Trauma Centre. It acts as the regional referral centre for critical care, particularly for renal support, major trauma, spinal injuries, neurocritical care and vascular surgery. The hospital is a major trauma centre and has it’s own helipad.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCS

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Used to working within the NHS and a team based structure.
  • Experience in Urology elective and emergency work
  • Experience of supervising resident medical staff
Desirable criteria
  • A range of Urology experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • • Evidence of clinical audit
