Administrative Assistant to the Resuscitation Service

Job overview
The main purpose of the post is to provide administrative support to the Resuscitation Service to ensure efficient running of the service. This includes diary management, photocopying, dealing with incoming and out-going post/e-mails/calls, typing letters and reports, processing/collating resuscitation course bookings on ESR, inputting data and statistics on excel/web based systems both in the development and management of, other office tasks and minute taking. Attendance at meetings, to support training, staff development and team management.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include managing emails, making ESR course bookings, administration specific to Resuscitation Council UK courses, attending meetings and taking minutes, administrative support for Resuscitation Group.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
- RSA3/NVQ 2 in Business Admin or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Business Administration or equivalent experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of a range of secretarial procedures, including typing, filing and diary management
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and other web audit systems
- Experience of working in an office environment.
Desirable criteria
- Have knowledge of the Resuscitation Council LMS to organise advanced courses.
- Have knowledge of ESR manage mandatory training requests.
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisation skills
- Fast, accurate keyboard skills
- Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
Desirable criteria
- Experience of diary management for middle-level managers.
