Effective collaboration with Primary Care, Social Care and multiple charities and third sector providers enables us to deliver a wide-range of services to the population we serve. 

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Hub Coordinator to join our busy administrative hub based at Workington ICC Hub.

The ICC Hub Coordinator works within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure an integrated service for patients.  You  will be lead by a ICC Hub Senior Coordinator to undertake a range of administrative duties and develop and maintain administrative systems. You will be required to participate in a rota to provide cover between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and occasional weekend working . You will be required to be flexible and be able to provide cover for other teams, this may involve working at different locations within North Cumbria.

Main duties of the job

The main part of you job role will be call handling, including taking telephone referrals sometimes complex in nature, from a wide variety of professionals • Input and retrieve data using IT systems, ensuring that all information taken is recorded quickly and accurately • To communicate effectively and consistently both with colleagues and callers to the service whilst retaining the ability to remain calm in difficult situations • To prioritise calls requiring immediate attention of a clinician or outside agency such as NCUHT and NWAS. • Recognise and action needs of callers and GPs requiring other services e.g. Mental Health Crisis Intervention team, Social Services and Third Sector •  Respond appropriately to enquiries from other services and patients, referring to other members of the team when necessary •

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 NVQ in Business Admin or equivalent relevant business subject
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent grade C or above
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate previous office experience;
  • Able to demonstrate experience of regular working with electronic management information systems;
  • Able to demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision;
  • Able to demonstrate experience of telephone and electronic communication within own job and with external organisations
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of health or social care environments

Knowledge
