Consultant Psychiatrist - ID (with additional benefits)

NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant

Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist in Intellectual Disability (ID) CAMHS, or Child & Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in ID or Neurodiversity, as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly, dynamic and supportive service and we are happy to consider less than full time working/job share as an alternative to the full-time position described.

We offer £10,000 in addition to basic salary on commencement, with a further £10,000 after 2 years in post.   An additional SPA beyond the usual allocation of 1.5 PAs will also be allocated to enable our appointee to undertake defined Care Unit support.  Benefits will be pro rata for part time.

We have a well established and experienced LD CAMHS team made up of Intellectual Disability and Mental Health nurses, Specialist Support Workers, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology. The team has an excellent track record of delivering outstanding patient care having previously been nominated for their work. We enjoy excellent links with our key partner agencies across North Derbyshire and have link workers with our Special Schools delivering a comprehensive training programme. We work closely with our wider CAMHS team and have well-integrated leadership across the service. Please see our well used website for more information about LD CAMHS and what we offer: www.camhsnorthderbyshire.nhs.uk
