Job overview

Working in a very friendly and supportive Child Health department,  we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist for our Child Development Psychology/Autism team to join an established and expanding multidisciplinary team.

As a member of a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team, , you will work with colleagues from a variety of disciplines, including mental health nurses, speech and language therapists and paediatricians.  

The team has a number of options available for flexible and hybrid working, including home-working with appropriate IT equipment and support. The team has dedicated office and clinic space as well as administrative support.

Main duties of the job

  • Providing specialist Autism assessments as part of an MDT within the autism assessment team.
  •  Providing neuropsychological assessments within the child development psychology team. 
  • To provide supervision to the assistant psychologist and other relevant team members.  
  • To contribute to MDT diagnostic decision-making panel discussions.
  • To work in partnerships with paediatric colleagues providing autism assessments.
  •  To contribute to relevant training programmes.
  • To contribute to team and service developments.
