Job overview

We are looking to appoint Specialty Doctors to our expanding middle grade tier in Paediatrics at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The department is part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire and the Expert Advisory Forum, which advocate for multidisciplinary workforce model which is standardised across the region.

The appointee will contribute to services in Acute Paediatrics as well as level 2 Neonates.  Experience in Community Paediatrics would also be welcomed.

The role involves participation in the General Paediatric and Neonatal out of hours rota, which currently incorporates 10 participants and will be expanded depending on the number of successful candidates.  Our aim is to meet recent legislative requirements and make improvements to work intensity during the out of hours period.

The consultant body will provide support for continuing professional development and GMC revalidation requirements, and we are able to support development of a special interest in a range of Paediatric sub-specialities.

We would encourage candidates to arrange to meet or contact the team prior to interview to discuss the role and the opportunities that we can provide.
