Job overview

Derbyshire Health Care Foundation Trust  has a bespoke Older Adult service and a robust pathway which includes inpatients, Crisis, psychiatric liaison and Community Mental Health Team.

We need a Consultant Psychiatrist for our new Bluebell Ward which will provide focused mental healthcare for older adults. The 12-bed unit in Walton Hospital, Chesterfield, is being refurbished as part of our Making Room for Dignity Programme, to ensure every service user has a single en-suite bedroom. It is specifically designed for over 65s.

This post as Consultant and therefore Clinical Lead will be working into both the standalone, 12-bed functional mental health ward based in Chesterfield, and the In-Reach and Home Treatment Crisis Team based in Chesterfield and also covering north-east Derbyshire.
