Job overview

This post is currently funded on a temporary basis however there is a possibility that the post could become permanent.

An exciting opportunity for a full time Team Administrator has arisen within our friendly Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service based within the Dovedale Day Service (London Road, Derby).

We are looking for a Team Administrator to provide a receptionist role at the Dovedale base, immediate administrative support to the Psychologists and Psychological Therapists who use the base, and remote support to our wider teams to help us to ensure the smooth running of our services across Derbyshire.

Our teams provide assessment, treatment and care for patients who experience mental health difficulties, as well as support to their carers. None of this can be done effectively without effective administration and support.

The successful candidate would join a small, supportive team of Psychology Administrators who work at various locations across the Trust, supporting our ongoing work.

Main duties of the job

The role of Team Administrator is a challenging and varied post, supporting the day to day running of the Psychological Services.

This includes answering telephone calls, which could be from patients, staff members, and other supporting workers. Telephone calls must be passed on to the appropriate person, whilst also supporting the caller, who may be distressed or frustrated.

As the Team Administrator, there are also responsibilities for the prioritisation and coordinating of work with other members of staff.

Use of the Electronic Patient Record is key to the role, where referrals are inputted, paperwork is uploaded, and letters and reports are created.

The Team Administrator also supports clinical and operational meetings, such as multi-disciplinary meetings, business meetings and/or profession-specific meetings.

The Team Administrator is also responsible for inventory management and helping maintain onsite facilities.

The job also requires data collection and production, compiling reports where necessary for management information, supporting both the team and the Trust, in ensuring we are meeting our population needs.

Working for our organisation

The successful candidate will be welcomed into a vibrant and creative team of skilled Psychologists & Psychological Therapists who work with vulnerable members of the community.
