We are committed to ensuring that all Trust colleagues can work safely during the current Coronavirus crisis. As part of this, the Trust is reviewing job roles in relation to COVID-19 national guidance, in terms of home working, flexibility and safe practice, to ensure positive working environments for staff and the best quality services for patients. Please note that this post may be subject to adjustments in line with COVID-19 national guidance.
A substantive post opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within the dynamic team at the Hope and Resilience Hub and linking into inpatient acute wards on Radbourne Unit.
The Occupational Therapists work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Hope and Resilience Hub and in-patient wards at the Radbourne Unit for adults at an acute phase of their mental illness; working with patients to provide therapeutic meaningful activities to support individual’s recovery. We are committed to delivering high quality, person centred care. We are an evolving team which is open to change and developing new ways of working and have a positive profile within the Trust and with service users and carers.
We are looking for a suitably experienced Occupational Therapist who is motivated and dedicated to work alongside and lead the current team to contribute to the continued development of the service. This role will involve facilitating group work, home assessments to facilitate timely discharge, enabling functional assessments, wellness and recovery planning. It is anticipated that this will be achieved through MDT work, representing the team at Unit level and within the Trust, and an ability to provide a positive role model to other team members. You will also carry a clinical caseload, and support the team with their clinical work.
In return you can expect to be supported in your professional development and develop skills appropriate to the needs of the service and client group.
