Job overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Programme Lead for Digital Transformation to play a pivotal role in delivering our new Digital Delivery Plan. This is a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation across clinical and corporate services and deliver our ambitious vision.
As Programme Lead, you will lead a portfolio of complex digital transformation programmes aimed at improving patient experience and outcomes, enhancing staff experience, optimising and fully leveraging technologies, and building a connected digital ecosystem. You will work across teams, services and system partners to ensure digital technologies and innovation are fully integrated into redesigned pathways, workflows and operational practices
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
• Significant experience leading digital transformation or technology-enabled change in health, care or similarly complex environments.
• Strong programme management skills and the ability to deliver at pace.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship building and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data, measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
• Understanding of digital standards, information governance, clinical safety and interoperability.
• A passion for applying digital innovation to improve patient care, staff experience and service efficiency.
A recognised programme or project management qualification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, APM, Agile) is required. Experience working in NHS mental health or community services is desirable but not essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Lead delivery of key programmes within the Trust’s Digital Delivery Plan, ensuring alignment with national and regional digital strategies.
• Work collaboratively with clinical services, operational teams, digital/IT colleagues, service users and carers to co-design digitally enabled pathways.
• Oversee digital change programmes including new clinical systems, digital tools, infrastructure improvements, data platforms and automation.
• Ensure that digital projects meet national standards on digital safety, information governance, cyber security and accessibility.
• Provide strong programme management including governance, risk management, milestone delivery and benefits realisation.
• Communicate complex digital concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders, supporting digital adoption and cultural change.
• Represent the Trust within Joined Up Care Derbyshire digital governance forums and regional/ national digital networks.

Essential criteria
- • Educated to Degree level or equivalent level of demonstrable experience
- • Formal programme/ project/ change management qualification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, APM, Agile)
- • Evidence of ongoing CPD in digital, transformation or data disciplines
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- • Strong knowledge of digital transformation approaches, digital adoption and user based service redesign
- • Significant experience leading complex digital transformation or technology-enabled change programmes
- • Proven track record of delivering modernisation in health or care settings
- • Experience of digitally enabled pathway redesign and working with clinical systems, data and digital workflows
- • Experience using data and analytics to support transformation
- • Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams
Skills
Essential criteria
- • Strong programme and portfolio management skills
- • Understanding of digital safety, IG, cyber and data standards
- • Ability to interpret and communicate highly complex technical, clinical and digital information to a wide audience
