Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for;

Job overview

We have an opportunity available to join our MSK outpatient team at Band 5 level. Suitable for staff that have already been through core rotations, we are looking for those who are keen to develop their knowledge, skills and experience around MSK work.

We offer four areas of interest in our own internal rotation - ' Outpatients' (mostly upper limb and spinal and group work), 'Group Rehab' - (mostly lower limb & group work)  'Hydro' (a mix of outpatients and hydrotherapy) and Rheumatology.

Each rotation lasts about 6 months so over a period of just over a couple of years, you should have the necessary MSK skills to progress and apply for a senior position.  This post will develop you as an MSK practitioner with the opportunity to supervise students (and with time junior 5's) and support with service development. If you are interested in joining our team to learn from our excellent team of seniors then please apply.

Main duties of the job

  • Under the supervision of an established senior you will undertake assessment and treatment of a wide range of MSK patients including upper limb, lower limb and spinal patients - The department has a mixed model of face to face, group and telemedicine.
  • Referrals are received from Consultant and GP referrers.
  • Supervision of pre graduate students and with time transitioning to supervision of junior rotation 5's.
  • Participation in research / audit as required.

Closing date of applications: 01 May 2024

Interview date: 15 May 2024
