NHS Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the organisation responsible for planning, monitoring, and paying for health services in Derby and Derbyshire. Serving a total population of 1,053,000 with a budget of over £1.6 billion the CCG has a staff base of approximately 500 people.
Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group (DDCCG) are now recruiting Medicines Order Line Operatives-Call Handlers
This exciting opportunity to join the medicines order line team would suit highly motivated enthusiastic individuals who are driven by a passion to provide a safe, high quality service for our patients.
The Medicines Order line operative will be responsible for receiving telephone calls from patients and processing requests for repeat prescription items, working with a number of our GP practices across Derby and Derbyshire CCG
The emphasis of this new and innovative service for patients is to deliver a safe, high quality, efficient repeat prescribing process thus reducing medicines waste.
The successful applicants will be excellent communicators who are able to cope in a busy role, handling patient requests and queries in a confident, accurate and empathetic manner.
Previous experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Previous use of clinical systems such as SystmOne and Emis is desirable however training will be provided.
