Job overview
This is an important role providing administrative support to the Operations team. Reporting to the County Business Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to assist in the smooth running of the County.
This role includes responsibilities relating to the monitoring and administration of sickness absence, recording Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensuring sufficient supply of essential non-pay items for the County. The role will also assist the local management
team with the administration and coordination of new starters and leavers, and the preparation of reports and papers for County meetings.
An important feature of this role is to act as an informal mentor to the apprentice in order to support and develop them within the administration function.

Main duties of the job
Along with the County Business Manager, you will act as the point of contact within the County for initial enquiries from members of the public, operational staff and staff from Trust HQ acting with professionalism at all times.
You will need to respond to incoming correspondence to the County as directed by the County Business Manager, maintain a suitable filing system for the County, and co-ordinate a ‘bring forward’ system for all relevant documentation/ correspondence. You will also To act as a role model and informal mentor for the Apprentice.

Essential criteria
- 4 GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent including English and Mathematics or Level 2 Function Skills or equivalent experience
- Experience of maintaining databases and working to deadlines, collating and maintaining records
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
- ble to multitask and selfmanage workload whilst adhering to procedural deadlines
Desirable criteria
- Experience of NHS or Emergency Services organisation
- European Computer Driving License
- Knowledge of sickness management
