University Hospitals Plymouth is seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Manager to take on the pivotal role of Associate Director of Finance.
You will manage the majority of central finance functions including financial planning, reporting, improvement and contracting.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

The Associate Director of Finance for Central Finance Functions is responsible for leading on all elements of the Trust’s financial systems and reporting as well financial planning, improvement and contracting functions.
This includes leading on the development, completion and co-ordination of the Trust’s financial plans, including cost improvement plans, and the development and performance of the Trust’s financial reporting functions.

Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl
- The ADoF will be responsible for the co-ordination, completion and development of short, medium and long-term financial models and plans for the Trust, ensuring that these follow the expectations set out by the Trust Board, the Integrated Care System and NHS England.
- The ADoF will deliver effective statutory reporting systems including unqualified Annual Accounts. The ADoF will deliver monthly financial performance reports and dashboards to the Trust Board and the Finance, Investment and Infrastructure (FIIC), as well as a wider monthly financial performance pack to the Chief Finance Officer. The ADoF will lead on the Trust’s budget setting and forecasting arrangements.
- The ADoF is responsible for leading the finance department in its strategy and function to identify, develop, implement and monitor financial improvement plans, and ensure optimal efficiency and productivity in its services. This will include leading on the financial aspects of the Trust’s Cost Improvement plans ensuring benefits of these workstreams are identified and delivered.
- The ADoF will lead and manage the Business Advice and Management Accounts team corporate areas. The ADoF will ensure that their team works hand in hand with the Associate Director of Finance for Divisional Finance to ensure that the processes and policies set out to undertake this work are fit for purpose and adhered to, whilst also meeting the needs of the Divisions.

- Significant post qualification demonstrable experience working in a senior managerial and strategic level post.
- Demonstrable experience of collaborative planning/working with other statutory, voluntary or private sector organisations.
- Demonstrable experience of preparation of budgets, preparation and presentation of Board level reports and experience of reporting to a senior level
