You will work well under pressure, adapt quickly to change, and remain calm and focused even in challenging situations. A natural aptitude for delivering outstanding customer service and a genuine desire to support patients, visitors, and colleagues with professionalism and care across all forms of communication is essential.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  This advert is placed on behalf on one of our health service providers.  Your application form will be forwarded to the organisation and any future correspondence will be made by the employing organisation.

Main duties of the job

As Patient Advisor Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our front-line patient services run smoothly across six busy GP surgery sites. You will be responsible for managing the Patient Advisor rota, overseeing the telephone system to ensure timely patient support, and coordinating appointment bookings to maintain efficient clinical rotas. This role demands quick thinking, flexibility, and a calm approach to unplanned changes. You will also support management with day-to-day operations, contribute to recruitment and onboarding, and champion ongoing staff training and development. With a strong focus on communication, organisation, and compassionate care, you will help create a positive experience for patients and colleagues alike.

Working for our organisation

Channel View Medical Group provides high-quality, patient-centred care to over 22,000 people across six sites in the beautiful coastal town of Teignmouth and on the edge of Dartmoor. We are an innovative, hard-working, and friendly practice that takes pride in fostering a supportive environment for the whole team. Our team includes 18 GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and a total of 90 staff spanning both clinical and administrative roles. At Channel View, both GPs and ANPs follow the Doctor First model—starting with telephone triage and then managing their own face-to-face appointments.
