Clinical Service Manager
We're looking for an experienced professional senior healthcare manager to support the Dorset wide vaccination programme for Dorset Health Care NHS Trust.
The post holder will work as the clinical services manager of dynamic teams in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of vaccinations across all age groups across Dorset. You’ll be responsible for clinical and non-clinical oversight of our sites and its operational planning and delivery.
Based at Kings Park, the postholder is expected to work across other fixed and peripatetic bases during the week. Flexibility to travel across Dorset will be necessary.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Main duties of the job
Currently registered as a healthcare professional and with senior management experience, you'll be a strong and supportive leader to ensure clinical governance, compliance and quality is at the forefront of our patient centred approach. Accountable for clinical standards, you'll ensure that robust systems are in place for clinical supervision and development, ensuring that teamwork and staff management is undertaken in line with Trust values.
You'll use your excellent communication skills to manage, lead and develop the vaccination teams across Dorset. You'll help develop initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders such as NHSE&I and Dorset NHS amongst others, to increase vaccination uptake including hard to reach communities.
Whilst having a strong operational focus, you'll also contribute to the delivery of the Dorset System vaccinations programme strategy. This includes future planning of the National COVID vaccination Programme which continues to evolve and expand. Working in partnership with Commissioners, Lead Clinicians, Advisors and other Senior Managers in partner organisations including cross agency working will form a key part of your role.
