Research Administrator
NHS AfC: Band 4
At North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, our main priority is, and always will be, providing safe and high quality care to our patients every day; the kind of care we would want for ourselves and our loved ones.
If you share our passion then apply for this opportunity and help us make our patients’ experience the best it can possibly be.
Job overview
If you have an interest in helping shape the future of healthcare within the NHS, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the team to join the Tees Valley Research Alliance (TVRA), a shared R&D service for North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post is formally hosted by North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust but the post holder will support both trusts in the TVRA and could be based at either of these locations.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration and delivery of systems to support the approvals process for research studies in line with the UK Policy Framework and HRA processes.
Main duties of the job
To be the first point of contact for researchers, answer queries from researchers promptly and efficiently, acknowledge all communication, and ensuring efficient flow of information.
Maintain log of research studies, document ideal start date deadlines, and process modifications.
The post holder will ensure that clear communication pathways are established to facilitate R&D processes and to promote the work of R&D.
Working for our organisation
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust now form University Hospitals Tees and as such you may be required to work at any site across both Trusts.
At North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, we want our organisation to be the best place to work with the right staff, in the right roles, at the right time, to ensure we deliver exceptional patient care and experience.
We will support staff through providing an inclusive and supportive workplace with health and well-being initiatives, staff benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development.
We support the 'Making Every Contact Count' approach to behaviour change in the promotion of health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
