We are seeking to recruit a Phlebotomist on a permanent 37.5 hour per week contract to join our existing Domiciliary Phlebotomy Service for North Tees. We are looking to recruit highly motivated enthusiastic person to work as part of the team.

 

Main duties of the job

The applicants must be clinically competent in carrying out venepuncture requests on patients in the community and demonstrate an ability to work alone. (Please note it is expected that the applicant must already be able to obtain venous blood samples.) The applicant must have a vehicle to use for this post and have business insurance.

The role requires the post holder to be able to communicate clearly with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The post holder will also be expected to the IT literate as electronic systems are used to input clinical data. Previous use of SystmOne would be an advantage The post holder will need to be able to prioritise their day and be familiar with all routine blood tests and their clinical importance.

The hours of work will be on a shift rota over five days a week.

Applicants must be able to access work locations on a frequent basis within short timescales.
