A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Specialist Palliative Care Team at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS foundation Trust. The team is committed to improving the quality of care and service experienced by patients and their families during their palliative and end of life care journey. You will provide timely administrative support across the whole team. You will be organised and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have excellent communication skills and be compassionate and professional when dealing with telephone enquires from patients and relatives and from other services.
Main duties of the job
Respond to a range of enquiries via email, letter, face to face contact or telephone, from patients, relatives, and other service users.
Be efficient, courteous and professional and have excellent communication, having a compassionate and calm manner.
Be proactive, sourcing information as required.
Be accurate when taking written information and disseminate in a timely way t
Have excellent time management.
Be competent using Trust systems and have knowledge and training in Information governance and data security to ensure privacy and confidentiality of data.
Follow appropriate training and adherence of all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines. Assist in maintenance and reporting of information through the input of data into relevant trust/departmental patient related clinical systems using appropriate technologies and equipment as and when required.
Be responsible for ensuring that all information relating to attendee, DNAs, appointment bookings for the Nurse Led Clinic, is kept up to date at all times through effective utilisation of relevant patient related systems within the work area, checking that all data being entered is valid and relating to the correct patient record on screen.
Assist training facilitators with administration support, booking of rooms and act as a point of contact for attendees
