Job overview

We are looking for a dedicated Team Administrator who can be part of an evolving administration team, you’ll play a key role in our Child Development Admin Team.

The role is fast paced, requiring resilience, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure.  You should be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, working to strict deadlines.   Confidentiality must be maintained at all times and being a good communicator is also key.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide administration support as part of the administration team.  

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal and written skills and have a "can do" positive attitude.

You will have a good level of IT literacy as you will be using multiple software packages including SystmOne.

This role will keep you both challenged and busy as you work closely with colleagues to support the clinical team and our young patients.

This is a full time  role of 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths (grade C/4 and above)
  • Educated to NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Evidence of good literacy and proof reading skills
  • Typing / text processing/ data entry skills to RSA III or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or an equivalent recognised IT qualification
  • Audiotyping experience
  • Prior use of Fluency

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of recent secretarial experience in an office environment
  • Experience of minute taking
  • Prioritisation of workload
  • Must be used to working in busy environment with a variety of different people
  • Production of data reports
  • Production of clinical correspondence
  • Experience of digital Booking Systems
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS administration experience
  • Previous experience working in a medical secretarial capacity
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Line Management of other administration staff

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with a range of patients, colleagues and stakeholders
